Curve of sound
Blown high at distance
Comes the call in
Starlit wave lengths.
Day to night
Extends to rhythm,
Rhythm of steel against wheel.
Through upheave
Of plotted furrow
Span of transport
Splits the acre.
Stitch of iron
Sewn into the cornfield;
Slender the train of a rail.
